Why Should You Do Prenatal Yoga?

Why Should You Do Prenatal Yoga?

The Ingy Bingy Band is a pacifier wristband that helps your fussy baby to calm down all on their own so you can keep up your yoga practice once your baby is born!

What is yoga?

Yoga is a mental and physical practice designed to build strength and flexibility. Yoga uses breathing, meditation, and movement for a wholistic well-being.

Is prenatal yoga different?

There are SO many different types of yoga. Each practice is used for what you want to get out of it. If you want a hard workout, then power yoga is for you. If you want to work on relaxing then restorative yoga is for you.

Prenatal yoga uses blocks and/or bolsters to modify poses. Pregnancy doesn’t allow for much flexibility, but this practice will help you tremendously with child birth. Prenatal yoga will help you with your breathing during labor and help build up your pelvic floor muscles!

What do you need to do yoga?

Yoga is a very inexpensive way to exercise if you want it to be.

All you need is:

-mat: This will help you with your grip so you don’t slip and slide around on the floor! Don’t be fooled by Lululemon. You don’t need to spend a lot of money on this! I got mine on Facebook marketplace for $5 and I’m doing just fine!

-water

-towel: to wipe your sweat

-class (in person or virtual)

-block or bolster: You will need something to help you stabilize your poses. You can buy a yoga block or you can use a book or paper towels!

I love yoga because there are copious amounts of FREE yoga videos! It can be challenging to find time to get to a gym, or even feel good about going to a gym when pregnant! It’s great to be able to move your body, stretch out, and get rid of some of those pregnancy aches and pains from the comfort of your own home!

How do you keep up with yoga once baby is born?

First of all, do not worry about getting back into working out too soon. You need to recover and working out too soon can cause unnecessary problems.  After my second was born I was moving around way too much too soon and ended up in the ER with large blood clots. Don’t put yourself at risk when you don’t need to!

Once you are ready to get back into a regular yoga routine, I recommend using a newborn pacifier. Infant pacifiers are great for helping babies to calm down. However, it’s hard to keep babies calm for long if their newborn pacifier keeps falling out!

It’s so frustrating when you finally get your baby to settle down, but their newborn pacifier keeps falling out, interrupting your workout 12 times!  A pacifier clip has been the typical solution to this problem. However, the Ingy Bingy Band is a safer alternative to a pacifier clip.

The Ingy Bingy Band is a pacifier wristband that helps your fussy baby to calm down all on their own. This pacifier bracelet helps babies to self-soothe from as early as four months old! They can find it on their own and use it whenever they need it without help from mom or dad!

The Ingy Bingy Band is not your everyday pacifier clip! This game-changing pacifier wristband helps babies self-soothe at a younger age than ever before! Instinctively, babies gnaw on their hands in an attempt to soothe. The Ingy Bingy pacifier wristband keeps their pacifier right where they’ll find it, allowing your baby to comfort and calm themselves while you do whatever it is you need to do!
Our buttery soft wristband comes in two styles to accommodate every pacifier.
Our Pacific style should be used when your baby’s pacifier holes are near their nose and chin when in use. It is most commonly used with Avent, BIBS, Dr. Brown’s, MAM, Nuby, NUK, Medela, FRIGG, Nanobébé, Tommee Tippee, and Chicco pacifiers.
Our Sequoia style should be used when your baby’s pacifier holes are near their nose and chin when in use. It is most commonly used with Itzy Ritzy, Ryan & Rose, and The Dearest Grey pacifiers.
If you are still unsure which pacifier wristband style is right for you, check out our style guide or text the name and/or picture of your preferred paci & we’ll let you know which style is right for you!
